Istana Griya 1 Hotel by OYO Rooms

It’s a very cheap, clean, comfortable hotel in a strategic location, and I was satisfied with the service. I’d give it five stars if the bathroom locked and the WC flushed properly, though maybe I was just unlucky with my room. The parking lot isn’t big, so bringing a car can make parking a little tricky, but we managed.

The owner was friendly, and check-in was quick and easy. It’s not expensive and is quite nice, with working AC, though the room isn’t very big. I’d book again sometime. I only gave four stars because there’s no wheelchair accessible entrance.

We arrived early in the morning, and the long-haired male staff member was considerate and helpful in letting us check in early. The nasi pattaya breakfast, fried rice wrapped in omelette, was tasty and spicy enough. There’s a musholla. Our standard room was spacious, with a queen bed and fan, though I’d suggest upgrading to an air-conditioned room. I was happy with the service. It’s about a 15-20 minute walk to Pusat Grosir Solo, and food is easy to find nearby.

A friendly staff and tasty omelet fried rice made the stay nice. This is a good backpacker choice, with a strategic location close to several POI and easy to get around from.
