Hotel Parangraja

I stayed here for a night with my little family when the hotel was only five months old. The food was good and suited the price, though there wasn’t much variety. The pool was very good, and the room was like those in other hotels. I also liked the wooden floor and bench. The lift is clever, with views of the surroundings as it goes up or down, which kids will enjoy. For the budget and facilities, I give it five stars.

Breakfast was a real letdown. There was no buffet, just food brought to our room, and no choice of what we got. The same food would cost 15 thousand rupiah at a warung, but they charged 50 thousand. They didn't provide coffee, tea, or sugar either, only cold tea, and pushed us to buy pricier coffee from their coffee house. It felt very commercial. For that price, I could stay somewhere better. They also forgot the floor mat, and there was no wheelchair for elderly guests. Even getting to a first-floor room was difficult, especially for older people. The bedsheet was stained.

There’s a small pool for cooling off, and across the road you’ll find a restaurant with all kinds of local herbal drinks. The hotel itself is simple and clean, and the price feels reasonable.

For what I paid through the pegipegi app, this was a very good deal. It’s a new place, kept in great shape and very clean, with a swimming pool too. Just remember it’s a budget hotel, so don’t expect a five-star experience, even though it does more than I expected for the price.
