The Westerners Homestay

The owners were very friendly, and the homestay was really clean. It's just off a Main Street and within walking distance of most major tourist destinations. Thanks for a great stay 🙏

The manager was especially kind and sent us suggestions for restaurants and events through whatsapp, which made things easier. We stayed one night and liked the room, though it was fairly ordinary. An air-conditioned room was available at a higher price, but we chose the cheaper option and found it fine. One thing to know is the hotel's rule that guests must return by 22h00, so this isn't suitable if you want to experience Solo at night.

The owners were friendly, and the rooms and shared areas were spacious, clean, and welcoming. It's centrally located but very quiet, and the price is excellent for what you get. WiFi didn't reach our room, though it worked fine in a pleasant sitting area. Highly recommended.

I have fond memories of this guest house from my stay in 1990. It was already known in the Lonely Planet books as the best guest house in town, and there was a lovely family working there. I met travelers from all over the world. One evening, on my way back, I saw a white buffalo wandering the streets by itself. Magical. I hope I can return.
