Wyndham Tamansari Jivva Resort Bali

The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and well maintained, and the location right by the beach is great. Breakfast had decent variety and quality. The outdoor areas around the resort need renovation and don’t currently match the rooms. I was disappointed by the food at Jivva Beach Club, and wouldn’t recommend eating there for lunch or dinner because the quality didn’t meet expectations. Once the outdoor work is done, the place could be amazing, but the outdoor spaces and dining options need improvement.

With better care and management, this could be a beautiful resort, but the current condition doesn’t justify paying too much until renovations are finished. Look for special deals on Agoda or other platforms, and don’t expect the photos to show how it looks now, I think they’re from years ago. If you’re expecting the same standard as other five-star resorts on the island, you may be disappointed. For a quiet getaway from busier parts of Bali, it could still be an option. The setting is lovely, with direct beach access, the sea in front, and rice fields behind. It’s easy to reach by car or motorbike. I’d rent a car and drive myself or hire a private driver, rather than use online taxis, to avoid unnecessary conflicts with locals. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, hot water worked, and the AC was very good. But parts of it were worn, the floors and surroundings had chipped areas and dirt stains, and a wooden plank on the door came loose and fell on my wife’s foot when we opened it. A lot of the facility is dated and worn: wood is deteriorating and many metal parts are rusty. Staff were polite but awkward to interact with. Some avoided eye contact, and more training in guest interaction and handling certain situations would help. One or two staff members were great and pleasant. There’s a gym, two pools, a spa centre, and a restaurant/beach club. The gym is usable if you’re not fussy, but there aren’t many options, rust limits some equipment, the carpet is sticky, and the air is humid. Leaving the door open helps, though the glass enclosure still makes it very hot. The pools are nice for relaxing, and the biggest one lets you swim while hearing the ocean waves. Be careful walking barefoot nearby, since some worn wooden platforms have rusty nails sticking up. We had breakfast at the restaurant/Jivva beach club. It was okay, with enough options, though not many, and the tax and service charge was 21%, like at most Bali resorts and beach clubs.

The suite was roomy, elegant, and really comfortable. Waking to the waves and that breathtaking ocean view was unforgettable. The hospitality and relaxing atmosphere made the stay feel special. A perfect peaceful escape for enjoying Bali in comfort. I can’t wait to come back!

The villa felt peaceful, and the private pool made our stay fantastic. It’s far from everything, which is ideal if you’re after a relaxing break. The staff were amazing, super friendly, and helpful. Meal prices are about the same as in Australia, and the menu isn’t the best, but I still highly recommend this place.
