We loved how peaceful it was to have our own villa and balcony, away from the city. It felt like we had the hotel to ourselves, and I could have spent all day in the well-kept pool, with sunlight on it and a view over the rice paddies. The scenery from up high is breathtaking, with greenery all around like a little jungle. The staff were warm and always ready to help. It's a good base if you're hiking Mount Ijen, since the hotel in the Licin area is already fairly close to the mountain site. They also offer a nearby waterfall and forest trek for 125k rupiah/person, which felt worth the price. We had a car so getting around was easy, but free bicycles are available for the coffee shops and warungs about 10-20min away. We liked being out of town. The shower water swung between cold and very hot, but it didn't spoil things. Breakfast is affordable, tasty, and simple, with limited choices. Thanks to the Domisili workers!

It was my first time at this resort, and I had such a good experience. The setting feels peaceful and close to nature, and I loved the surroundings, views, pool, rooms, and atmosphere. The staff were so friendly and clearly care about making guests comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay.

The rooms are roomy and comfortable, and you can borrow mountainbikes for free to get to nearby coffee houses and restaurants. There's also a pool with a great view. The place is beautiful, right in nature, and the staff are very friendly. Breakfast was good and generous. Just keep in mind you're staying out in nature.

We had a comfortable and enjoyable stay, even though we canceled the Mt Ijen Blue Flames tour. We'd heard the flames were lowered for mine workers' safety and didn't want to risk being disappointed. The resort itself was lovely, and the staff were very friendly. Our balcony opened onto a beautiful valley.

It was so calm here, surrounded by greenery and lovely natural views. A really nice place to slow down and recharge. What stood out most was the service: every staff member was warm, kind, and attentive, and made the stay feel personal and comfortable. I had an amazing time at Ijen Cliff Resort Banyuwangi and would absolutely recommend trying it.
