We picked a room listed at 320k rp per night, but the receptionist then said I had to pay another 150k rp because I'm not an Indonesian citizen. This was the worst discrimination I've experienced. The hotel owner is Chinese, too, which made it all the more striking.

The room was spacious, but its windows were only about a meter from the wall of the building next door. The furniture was old, as was the TV. Breakfast was just nasi goreng and tea. I saw only three hotel workers, and the service was poor.

It's the nearest hotel to Sri Bintan Ferry terminal for trips to Singapore, Malaysia, Batam or other areas. A nice place to spend the night in Tanjungpinang, with friendly, good service.

Its main advantage is being the nearest hotel to the Nongsapura ferry terminal. You can also use it as a transit stop for the airport, and there's a shuttle, though it costs extra.

The room was clean and the Wi-Fi was good, which matters more to me than the old furniture or the non-flat-screen TV. The rooms are comfortable and affordable, and the Wi-Fi is pretty fast. That's just my preference, of course, and other people may feel differently.
