Bale Jukung

I had to leave a day early because of a scheduling mix-up and wasn't expecting a refund. They kindly let me do my laundry for free, which was such a nice gesture. The whole place has a laid-back feel and a lovely setting near the beach. The staff are incredibly welcoming and always ready to help. I highly recommend staying here.

We went back to Bale Jukung when I returned to Lombok with my family, and it became our go-to for most meals in Tanjung. Everyone loved the food. I run a restaurant myself, and you can tell the chefs put real care and passion into what they make. On my earlier trip, when I was traveling alone, I ate there a few times too. The Indonesian dishes and drinks were delicious, made with fresh ingredients. I'll definitely come back.

I've stayed here twice, and the room was a good size for traveling solo. It's a cool, clean place with a mix of traditional and modern design, lots of trees and plants, and a helpful, nice owner. The air conditioning worked well, and there was a water heater. Breakfast was good too, especially the banana pancake with Lombok coffee if you like coffee. The hotel is close to mosques, so it can get a little noisy at certain times. Bring earplugs or noise-canceling headphones. The owner has a few very cute cats, so bring them a treat if you like cats.

The room was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed. The staff were friendly and polite, and the owners made us feel right at home. It's a lovely green property close to the beach, with plenty of tasty food and drinks at the restaurant. There are five gentle, playful cats, some huge pigeons, and two funny guinea fowl around. You can also try different musical instruments and listen to the owner play.
