The staff were so welcoming and kind, and the restaurant had plenty of great food options. I spent six nights here and it was just perfect, quiet and relaxing. I joined the yoga and meditation sessions twice a day, used the swimming pool, and had a couple of massages from the huge treatment menu. There are also trips you can take. It was a very memorable stay.

Bagus Jati Health & Wellbeing Bali is a restorative place to get away in Ubud’s lush highlands. Tropical forest and rice terraces surround the resort, creating a calm setting for rest and renewal. Its spacious villas pair traditional Balinese architecture with modern comfort. The wellness offering includes yoga, meditation, holistic spa treatments, and healthy food, all thoughtfully put together to support body and mind. Warm, attentive service and a strong focus on sustainability add to the experience. It’s a special destination for anyone looking for meaningful rest, balance, and overall wellbeing.

I’ve been at Bagus Jati for three days of my planned 12-day stay, and I’m already in love with the place. I wanted a peaceful getaway, and this has been just right. The room is spacious, luxurious, private, and surrounded by forest, with birdsong all around. I’ve been having spa treatments almost every day and spending my free time at the pool, in yoga and meditation classes, and in other programs. I also visited Ubud city using the hotel’s free drop-off and pick-up taxi service, which was really convenient. The spa treatments are excellent, and the restaurant serves great food with a delicious range of dishes. Breakfast might surprise you, and there’s complimentary afternoon tea between 3 and 4 pm. All the staff are amazing, so kind, and there whenever you need help. I’m enjoying this holiday and already planning when to come back to Bagus Jati for my next one!

The villas are pleasant, though they may feel a bit dated, and the place is very quiet. At night the temperature drops into the low 60s F, so a stand-up fan should keep you cool. The food was just okay, nothing special, and the restaurant got our order wrong even though we were the only customers. Google and Agoda both show the villas as having A/C, but none of them do. I’d suggest trying this place once, though it wasn’t really for me.
