The accommodation was comfortable for a longer stay, with a nice view and a very Balinese feel. Getting there involves some pretty extreme routes, with thrilling climbs and descents. The checkout charge was frustrating, though. One staff member initially said I could wait until the midday prayers at 12:30, but when I checked out after 12:50, another staff member charged me 50 thousand rupiah for a late checkout.

We needed a car to get around, though there are warungs serving Bakso, fried chicken, and other things just a 2-5 minute drive from the villas, plus a nearby mini mart. We stayed two nights in a very comfortable room in an idyllic rice paddy setting. The young guy at reception was so helpful. Our room didn’t have hot water, but they let us use another room, where the shower was nice and hot.

The pool was a great place to spend the day, and I enjoyed coffee while watching the sunrise. It’s a comfortable, relaxing property for a holiday, with awesome facilities. The staff gave great service from our arrival through checkout. I’d come back another time.

The villa and the view are lovely, and it can be a great place to get away and enjoy some solitude. Just be prepared for a rough ride to reach it. I hadn’t checked beforehand and was surprised it’s north of Ubud, in Tegal Alang, in a very traditional area. There’s a convenience store about 500m away, but you’ll need to borrow a bike from reception to get there. Service and staff were lacking.

We had a really quiet, peaceful stay here, and the surrounding scenery was lovely. A nice spot in the Ubud area.
