Nanang Antique Ubud Villa

The owner of these properties is OASIS INTERNATIONAL. I’d avoid dealing with them. We had to contact Airbnb support to get a full refund after the host said they’d refund us and then didn’t. The place was extremely unhygienic, with termite-eaten wood and cobwebs, and the Airbnb photos looked ten years old. When we arrived, the host opened the door and ran off. There was dirt on the pool bottom, frogs in the ceiling of both bedrooms, half the lights didn’t work, and there was no hair dryer. The sheets were marked, the fly nets and walls were mouldy, and the fridge had food spills and cotton-like material all over it. The dishes were dirty and the kitchen cupboards were covered in spiderwebs. Absolute crooks.

There’s a huge building right next to the villa now, with noisy construction, a badly restricted view, and workers throwing garbage into the pool. The old photos are misleading. The pool stayed so cloudy and dirty that I couldn’t swim even after it was “cleaned.” The villa itself was decent and the customer service was good. If the listing were transparent and the price lower, I might recommend it, but as things stand, I can’t.

For $70/night, we found termite-damaged wooden sheds, no sign of cleaning, and murky pool water beside noisy construction. The Airbnb photos were outdated and completely misleading. The owners didn’t respond to our request, but the service helped secure a refund. We booked somewhere much better for less money. Check the photos for reference.

We left right away and were relieved we hadn’t paid in advance. The place looked nothing like the Booking.com photos, which showed no massive construction right beside the property. The pool was messy, the sun beds were very mouldy, and there were ants and mosquitoes everywhere. A lounge room with a sofa was listed, but there was no sofa. One bedroom had rat droppings, while the other had a leaking roof in its en-suite bathroom. Half the listed kitchen appliances were missing. I booked because it had the best reviews in Ubud and was extremely disappointed. The service was horrible and very rude.
