We only stopped in to eat because the place caught my eye, and inside it was so beautiful and peaceful. The food was really tasty, with healthy organic dishes and fresh juice from their trees. Everything looked spotless and calm. They also offer activities like painting and cooking classes, plus tours. As I was leaving, the lady gave me some fruit and a lemon as a gift. So sweet!

Lovely people, and they were a big help when we needed a ride to the hospital. We also took a morning tour while we were there. The rooms are spacious and very clean, and breakfast has several choices. There are smaller meals available for lunch or dinner too. It’s quiet because you’re a little outside the centre, so you’ll need a motorbike, taxi, or similar to get around.

The moment I keep thinking about is the sound of crickets and other wildlife drifting across the rice paddies after dark. My wife, our two kids, and I only stayed one night, but it felt magical, and I’d happily come back for 3-5 days to explore nearby temples, waterfalls, and coffee plantations. The couple managing the place and the staff were lovely, and there were some very sweet children around. Seeing them fly kites over the paddies was charming. Our villa was spacious, with a master bedroom separated from two twin beds, a huge bathroom with a tub, and a full kitchenette. It was clean and well kept, and the little dipping pool was great after a long day on the road. Dinner had a good mix of local and Western food, plus well-made juices and a large Bintang beer for dad. Breakfast was delicious too, and the coffee was dynamite. They can arrange taxis and rent scooters or bicycles. A scooter is probably the easiest way to see a lot, if you can ride one, since the hills are challenging on a push bike. The family patriarch is a gifted painter and offers Balinese painting classes. That’s where the Art Center name comes from. Definitely take a studio tour if one is available.

The staff were so friendly and made everything easy for us. And the pancakes were AMAZING. Would happily recommend.
