The rice fields surrounding the property make for a beautiful view, and the staff were very friendly. The rooms, though, weren't very clean. There are fairly large gaps around the ceiling and doors, so bugs can get in easily. We stuffed the gaps with tissues and plastic before bed, but the next morning found a huge cockroach and other bugs among our luggage. It's an okay place if you don't mind insects getting into the room.

The location is around 20 minutes from central Ubud, and the building where we stayed had first floor rooms with terraces. Breakfast arrived right at our room, and we were pleasantly surprised by how fresh and tasty it was. I enjoyed the juice and Balinese coffee as well. The pool had turned green after heavy rain, so we couldn't swim. The staff were unable to get the TV set up, though being in Ubud among the rice fields made it easy to do without. There was a mini-fridge but no drinking water. Tea, coffee, sugar, and a kettle were provided. Our room was huge, with a large comfortable bed and a bathroom stocked with everything we needed. It had a grotto, a bathtub, a tropical shower, a hygienic shower, and toiletries including a toothbrush and toothpaste, soap, shampoo, and shower gel. The bed had a canopy to keep mosquitoes away, although we didn't see any. There were no insects in the room at all, no mosquitoes, flies, or ants. The hotel has standalone villas as well as rooms in a building. We had a relaxing, enjoyable stay.

If you want to get away from the city noise, being surrounded by rice fields makes this villa a peaceful place to meditate or do yoga. Getting there can be tricky, though. The lanes are narrow and cars can't access them, so you'll need to continue on foot or by motorbike.

The staff were really welcoming and helped us settle in. We had a pleasant three day stay in comfortable accommodation, surrounded by a calm rural setting. The hotel sits right among the rice fields, which makes it an unusual and peaceful place to spend time. We did see quite a few reptiles, including lizards and some larger ones around the property when we came back from the market in the evening. That's understandable given the location, but worth keeping in mind if you're uncomfortable around reptiles. If you want a quiet countryside break and can handle the occasional wildlife, this could be a good fit.

We chose this place because of the good online reviews and photos. The location is really cool, the staff were friendly, and it's quiet with lovely rice field views. The price was decent too. Still, the rooms and facilities didn't look as well kept or clean as we'd expected. There was mold in several spots in our first room, spider webs, and a bad smell in the bathroom. We asked to change rooms for the second night, and they helped us. The pool area was nice, though the few sunbeds had worn mattresses. The facilities overall felt run down, and cleanliness was a problem. Water from the tap was inconsistent, which seems understandable for a spot like this. When you arrive at the main road, text them on WhatsApp and they'll help with your luggage. You don't need to carry heavy bags up the steep hill yourself, even though we and some other guests did. Some of the upkeep may take money, but cleaning could be improved without much effort. If you want a quiet stay among the rice fields, it may suit you, though the condition of things might not match what you expect.
