The restaurant was a favorite spot for an afternoon of reading, with its rice field view, and I ended up ordering the warm pear tart almost every night. The menu has plenty of choice and the chefs are great. There are fountains, and the pool lights up after dark. The whole place feels modern with Balinese touches, and the pool area is beautiful. My room was lovely, with the comfiest bed and pillows I’ve slept on this trip. The staff were friendly and professional, greeted me by name, and were always happy to help. It wasn’t busy, so the peace and quiet made it especially nice to relax and enjoy Ubud. I like kids, but I appreciated the calm. I extended my stay, and now I don’t want to leave in two days. You’ll need a scooter or driver, since it’s about 30 minutes from central Ubud. There are a few villas, restaurants, and a massage place within walking distance, though I mostly wanted to stay put. A perfect end to my trip. I’ll definitely be back.

I've traveled a lot, and this is one of the best places I've stayed. The jungle atmosphere is relaxed, and the whole stay was more than affordable. There’s a great 25 m pool, excellent service, and a good restaurant serving local dishes. Rooms are comfy and very clean, with modern bathrooms, nice beds, and great balconies. Rice fields surround the place, with waterfalls, temples, scooter rental, and amazing spa options nearby.

The restaurant food was very good, and the facilities are solid, especially the pool. It was a great place to cool off after exploring. Pinggala is about a 20-25 minute motorbike ride from Ubud’s main area, which gives it a peaceful, quiet feel. Bring any snacks or drinks you want for your room, since there are very few shops nearby. I’d happily recommend staying here.
