Santris Villa by GenuineHost

The kitchen was one of the best we tried during our month travelling around Bali. Breakfast and every other meal were fresh, delicious, and clearly made with care. We stayed at Santris Villa for two weeks with my husband and son, and it felt like home. The villa was comfortable, beautifully kept, fully equipped, and thoughtfully arranged for a longer stay. When a storm damaged the internet cable, the team repaired it quickly and also offered several complimentary gestures, which meant a lot to us. Everyone was kind, especially Mila and Heri, and the spa therapist added to the relaxing feel. We loved our time there and would gladly come back.

The birthday decorations the team arranged for my mum made her day, and the thoughtful extras like an international charger and insect repellent plug were much appreciated. We were four adults in the 2-bedroom villa for 5D/4N, and it was a peaceful retreat. The design was lovely, with a rain shower, big bathtub, and private pool looking over the paddy fields. Breakfast and afternoon tea were both a treat. When we had small repairs or requests, they dealt with them quickly and kept us updated over WhatsApp. Thanks to Kenny, Yogi, Mila, and Juni for making us feel so welcome. Santris Villa is around 20 minutes from Ubud town, but Grab made getting there easy. We had a restful stay and would return.

We had a great time at Santris. The villas are private and well located, with your own pool and bathtub. The outdoor bathroom looks amazing, the bed is comfortable, and the service is very attentive. Don’t hesitate!

Mila was such a gem, always checking in, remembering our names, and asking if we needed anything. Dewa shared coffee from his own plantation, and Kichen was friendly and smiling all the time. He even carried my wife’s heavy suitcase on our first day without being asked, which I really appreciated. We stayed in Yuyu for our honeymoon. It was spotless, private, and had everything we needed: mosquito coils and plugs, umbrellas, a working stove, fridge, kitchen utensils, hairdryers, TV, and great Wi-Fi. The staff had decorated the bed and bathtub with a lot of care, and there was exotic fruit. We loved the quiet, scenic setting, private pool, and paddy field views. It’s a good spot if you want to be away from Ubud’s bustle but still close enough to reach by Grab. The restaurant is small but tries to accommodate guests. For other meals, we’d suggest checking out eateries in Tegallalang or central Ubud. Kubas Cafe is within walking distance and has fresh juices. We’d definitely visit again and recommend it.
