The room was stylish and a great fit for couples, and overall it was a nice stay. The staff were very good, especially rista, who made sure we enjoyed ourselves and responded quickly to everything. We did have a rat in the room, though. Since it was the rainy season in a village area, we were scared at times, and management should address it. One small suggestion: they should add more vegetarian dishes to the menu, as many Indian visitors are vegetarian.

The private pool villas are spacious and lovely, though ours felt pretty dim and could have used more lighting. We switched rooms after hearing noises late at night and worrying there might be a reptile inside. The staff were very attentive and patiently checked several rooms when we asked. They did what they could to make sure we felt comfortable.

The staff were courteous and genuinely helpful, and they’re the only reason I gave this resort two stars. Without them, I’d have rated it one. We had rats in our room, including one that climbed onto the bed during the night, and after that we couldn’t sleep. Other noises through the night were somewhat understandable given the location, but it’s disappointing that management still hasn’t dealt with rodents and reptiles getting into rooms, especially with similar complaints from earlier guests.

Rita at reception deserves a special mention for the heart, dedication, and care she puts into her work. Everyone at Uma Linggah, Ubud was welcoming, friendly, and very cooperative. It was a beautiful experience, and I’d love to see them again soon. Highly recommended.

My best stay ever was at uma linggah. Rita was especially sweet and kind, and she helped with all my questions. If you visit, ask for her.
