Villa Leros - 2BR Mediterranean Villa

Ash was so helpful whenever we needed something or wanted recommendations. Villa Leros has been one of the best places I've stayed, with loads of space, comfort, and a stunning feel. Its location in Bali is hard to beat, whether you feel like heading out or staying in. It really feels like paradise. Highly recommend 🤍

I hate leaving a negative review, but after thinking it over for two weeks since getting home to Australia, I feel people should know what happened. My partner and I were on our baby moon at our favourite island. We spend months in Bali every year, and this was a horrible stay. By the end, I didn't feel welcome. Most of our other Bali experiences have been full of love and appreciation. The villa looks lovely, but that was the best part. Since I work online as a counsellor, I made it very clear before booking that nearby construction was my one concern. I asked whether it would affect the villa, and was told the neighbour's work was at the “fit out” stage, so there'd be little to no noise. Instead, we arrived to find a construction site looming over the villa. Loud work started around 8am on almost every day, and my clients could hear the banging while I was working inside. The owners said it wasn't their problem because they hadn't believed there would be noise. We had booked a month and asked to leave after two weeks, giving a week's notice, and were penalised $500AUD. The beds were rock hard, so we bought our own mattress topper. The front door was poorly built, came off its hinges, and wouldn't shut properly. The builder didn't finish the repair, leaving us to secure it with zip ties for our last 5 nights. We couldn't lock or close it when going out during the day. We might have been able to secure the place if we'd been given a key to the pool door, but we weren't. We also had no running water for 2 days. The owners filled the tank so we could each shower once during that time. We understand water problems can happen in Bali, but these inconveniences weren't taken into account when they charged us the $500 penalty.

The villa and its location were both great, and the host and staff were wonderful to deal with. We'll be back!

A beautifully designed villa, tucked away on a quiet street but still close to lively Canggu. It suited a family perfectly.
