Grand Master Villa Tomohon

The view of Lokon Mountain and the morning breeze were lovely, and the ambience was just right. We had 14 people in 6 rooms, though, and the evening was stressful: black ants were all around the bed, so my husband stayed partly awake to make sure they didn’t reach our baby. I called twice for an extra pillow after reception said it would cost 30k rupiahs, but it never arrived. At breakfast, staff watched us and the kids as if we were thieves, even though we’d paid for the extra breakfasts. Nobody smiled, and we didn’t get a welcome at any point. The service was VERY BAD.

The view of mount lokon was the one nice part. Dinner with my family was a letdown. My brother tried to order Coke, then another soft drink after they said Coke was out, but that wasn’t available either. They should’ve told us before we ordered. Our food took an hour, while kids at the pool were screaming and splashing around from about 5-7pm. Swimming only cost 10k, but no thank you. The service was bad.

The cool breeze and the view were great, but the pool was open to the public and crowded on weekends. The water was dirty, so I wouldn’t recommend using it then. Wi-Fi was painfully slow, and the mini fridge was locked. Breakfast was so-so, and I spotted bugs on the bread rack.

A peaceful spot near Lokon mountain, with a comfortable room, good food and a nice pool. The first-floor rooms have two terraces, and the service was good. Karaoke was fun, though they could add more songs. Prices are affordable for what’s included. I’d give it five stars if there were a bathtub.
