For a place to sleep and shower, this was perfect, with a bonus view of Mount Lokon from the second-floor room. It’s a calm spot surrounded by empty land or plantations, and reasonably located not far from the Tomohon-Manado highway. The price was IDR 200,000 a night with an IDR 150,000 cash deposit, very good value. I checked in at 1 a.m. on December 26, 2025, when hotels in Tomohon and Tondano were full, but this homestay still had space for two adults and a five-year-old. It’s relatively new, having opened in January 2025. The clean room had a comfortable, clean bed, air conditioning, a smart TV with internet access and YouTube, a wardrobe, an electric kettle, two bottles of mineral water, and two cups. The clean bathroom had a 30L water heater, a flush toilet, a jet spray, and excellent strong water pressure. They also provided two clean standard-sized towels, a toothbrush, toothpaste, and liquid soap. My only complaint was the blanket, which wasn’t very thick. In Tomohon’s cool weather, it might actually be a bit too warm.

The building was in poor repair. Paint was peeling off the doors, the ceiling was moldy, and the bathroom walls had severe mold. The bedroom smelled of cigarette smoke. There were no dry towels, so they handed out wet ones because the dryer was broken.

For the price, it’s okay overall. The TV should be connected to Wi-Fi, and some of the walls need repair or a fresh coat of paint.

The service was awful and unfriendly, and the price didn’t feel fair. At checkout they took a very large amount from my deposit over a small stain left on the sheet. Were the sheets not changed or washed? It felt like they were looking for the tiniest excuse to keep my money. A small stain and such a large deduction, it’s ridiculous. I deeply regret staying here and it felt like extortion. Sorry if I’ve said anything wrong, I’m just sharing what happened to me. This was the worst.

The staff were lovely, and the place was clean and quiet. The rooms are spacious and very well equipped, with a breathtaking view of Lokon. It’s inexpensive too. A perfect place to stay in Tomohon!
