The beds were comfy and the rooms clean, and the breakfasts were delicious. The free breakfast alone makes it worth staying here. It was also easy to dive at Dive Concepts across the street and have a meal at the tasty restaurant right in the hotel. I made lots of requests during my stay, and the staff were always friendly and accommodating.

We spent 6D5N here, pretty much eating well, diving, sleeping, and repeating. My husband and I felt completely at ease in our little oasis. It’s secluded, close to beautiful dive sites, and there were no loud parties. The bungalow was comfortable, cleaned every day, and came with daily breakfast. Our guide Koming was excellent. He accommodated our requests for dawn and night dives, found the sea creatures we wanted to see, and put our safety first. The owner, Ric, was friendly and kept operations running smoothly, and the staff were nice too. Chop and Hops serves really good, authentic German food. The Scnitzel and Ric’s Fave were amazing, though smaller eaters might want to share. The specialty coffee was among the best I had on my two-week Bali trip.

At OceanSun I completed my advanced open water, buoyancy, and nitrox specialty courses. Ric, the owner and dive instructor, is an amazing teacher: patient and a master diver with over 20 years of experience. The assistant coaches, instructors, and divemasters cared about how I was doing and regularly gave me feedback to improve my diving. I also got some great underwater photos and videos. Prices are very reasonable. After a tiring dive or long lesson, it was refreshing to have good food and nutritious smoothies. The kitchen makes some of the best food in the area. I recommend this place to anyone visiting Tulamben who wants to explore scuba diving.

The dive sites are amazing, and I’d come back in a heartbeat. Ocean Sun Resort in Tulamben is a gem, with sweet little bungalows and a really laid-back feel. The food is a treat, and the resort and dive crew are some of the friendliest people around. Komang and Nanu were amazing, and owner Ricardo runs the place like a pro. A great mix of diving and good vibes.

I just finished my decompression diving course here and found it really insightful. Ric explained the course and the dives very well, and I learned a lot while enjoying it. Definitely recommend this dive center if you want to better understand safe diving and have fun on your dives too. 👍🏼
