Crispycool Homestay

The WiFi was spotless, and the mornings came with a lovely view. It’s a quiet base near a mini market, petrol, a good local warung, the surf spots, and Kuta. I stayed for a week in the double room. It was simple but did the job, and the fan was enough since nights didn’t get hot. There’s no hot water in the shower yet, and an outlet on the balcony would’ve been handy. Best of all, no morning chants to wake you.

The family are so helpful and friendly. They even drove me to Kuta at the last minute. My room was clean and had a sink and shower, and there’s a warung right next door. Mawun beach is an easy walk away. You can rent a scooter to reach Kuta, about 15 minutes away, and other beaches, or take surf lessons with the family. A lovely homestay if you want to stay near the beaches.

I loved how green and quiet it felt here, and the terrace was beautiful. The air conditioner worked well and the bed was comfortable. Mohamed can rent you a scooter at a good price, which makes Kuta and nearby beaches easy to reach. The beach is only a few minutes away on foot, with restaurants along it; walk a little to the left and you can soon have it to yourself. The village hasn’t been taken over by tourism, so you’re close to local life. Mohamed is a wonderful host, and his children are so sweet and well behaved. If you want a calm, authentic stay rather than luxury, this homestay is a great fit.

I spent 10 wonderful days here, and I’ll remember them for a long time. Mohamed, the owner, looks after you, and you can just ask if you need anything. The place has air conditioning, fruit trees, a sweet little garden, and friendly smiles all around, at a great price. It’s close to beaches with offshore winds for surfing, while Kuta is nearby when you feel like enjoying what the town has to offer.
