Abian Ubud View

We booked a garden-view room with an outdoor shower, and it was amazing. The rooms are traditional, cosy, quiet, and beautiful, with good value for the money. It’s a bit tricky to find, but that’s understandable beside the rice fields, and it’s still not too far from the city center. Don’t be put off by the bad reviews, it’s a wooden joglo hotel room in the rice fields, and you get what you pay for. There’s also a restaurant and massages. The staff were lovely, and even helped with first aid after I had an accident. Thank you, abian!!

We ended up staying for two weeks after extending our original week twice. We tried three different rooms, including a small jogolo, and all were comfortable and had what we needed. The rooms were cleaned daily and had fresh towels. Everyone on staff was lovely and helpful with anything we needed. It’s a quiet, private-feeling place where you’re close to nature, and Ubud centre is within walking distance. We’d definitely return!

Birdsong, butterflies, and ducks in the paddy fields make the surroundings feel like countryside. The place is tucked away on the outskirts of Ubud, away from the town centre’s noise and bustle. Rooms are spacious, clean, and attractive, with a wooden colonial style. You can walk to the centre, though the connecting road isn’t always an easy route. Sometimes it’s muddy and full of potholes, but it may have improved by the time you read this.

The rooms were beautiful and very clean, and I especially liked the shower. The team was so helpful and accommodating. It’s quiet and peaceful, with an easy short walk to Ubud centre while still being away from the busy streets. Such a hidden gem!
