Adil Villa and Resort

We stayed in an amazing Smart Wooded Suite at Adil Villa and Resort. It had a spacious room and bathroom, smart remote controlled lighting, and a view of the infinity pool and rice fields. The property is right among the rice fields. There’s a free shuttle to Ubud centre, though it’s also easy to get there with Grab or Gojek. On Friday night, the live in house band sang an Indian movie song for us, which was a nice gesture. The one downside was the limited breakfast for vegetarians, apart from fruit.

The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful, and the staff were attentive and quick to respond when I reported a problem. Receptionists were very nice. The place is good value, with spacious enough rooms, useful amenities, good cleaning and complimentary drinking water. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes and markets nearby. You can rent and park your motorbike at the entrance, and leave luggage there safely if you arrive early. Breakfast was okay. The hotel is close to Ubud centre while being away from the busy part. Internet worked, but was a little below expectations. There were a few issues. Since the hotel is beside rice fields, it was a problem that the doors had no bug screens, leaving rooms exposed to flies, mosquitoes and other bugs. The rooms need attention, especially the tubs and bathrooms. Padi Warung’s food was below average, so I wouldn’t recommend paying for lunch or dinner there. Breakfast might be fine if it’s free, but I don’t think it’s worth paying for. Early check in often wasn’t possible, and the earliest time was later than at other hotels. The pool didn’t look very clean, and I got an ear infection. I never saw anyone clean it, and some guests swam in their T shirts. There’s no outdoor shower by the pool. The outdoor lights could use attention too, since it was sometimes hard to see where I was going.

A peaceful place to stay on a solo trip. I felt safe on my own, and the quiet setting made it easy to relax, slow down and recharge. The staff were so kind and welcoming. Loved waking up to the Ubud atmosphere each day 🌿✨

Surrounded by rice fields, the grounds were lovely and the whole place was quiet and serene. There are multiple pools, all sparkling clean, and the on site restaurant served excellent food 👌 😋. The rooms were beautiful, clean and simple. It’s close to Ubud Center, restaurants and attractions, and the hotel provides a free shuttle to and from the town centre. They’ll also arrange tours and transportation for guests. The staff were exceptional. I’d definitely recommend it and stay again. Ten stars 🌟!
