The peaceful setting and the pool were the best parts for us. The large pool looks out over a beautiful jungle valley, and the whole place feels quiet and scenic. The accommodation is three small separate houses, each with a bedroom and bathroom. The beds were clean and had mosquito nets, but the bathrooms could use more attention, especially around the sinks and toilets. Getting there was confusing. Booking.com says it’s 3 km from Ubud center, but by car it took about 45 minutes. Its map is wrong too, and the villa is listed under another name, so we couldn’t find it on Google Maps. The correct name is Amara Giri Villa (II). Breakfast came on time each morning through a nearby Warung, though we didn’t enjoy the taste as much as we’d hoped. With a few small improvements, the villa could be a fantastic place to stay.

Surya looked after us so well, making us a lovely breakfast and surprising us with all sorts of nice touches. It’s a peaceful, lovely place to relax and feel close to nature.

The host was rude and arrogant, and put people down over their financial situation. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Lovely villa and a beautiful view, but the pool was the best part. I’d definitely recommend it.
