It was easy to relax here, in a quiet neighborhood about ten minutes from Ubud's busy main road. The room was cozy and just right, and there's a handy little kitchen outside. Artawa and his family made this feel like a real homestay. They were so welcoming and kind, and even invited my friend and me to join their local Independence Day celebrations. We had such a good time together. I hope I can return. Thanks to Artawa and family ❤️

We had a really good holiday here for the price. The room had everything we needed, though it was quite humid, probably because of the rainy season. It's a little way from the center, but renting a motorbike worked well and meant we could get away from the noise. The owner and his family were lovely and helpful whenever we needed them, and they let us join a ceremony with the whole family.

For nine nights, my boyfriend and I found this a great base in Ubud. Being a little outside the center made things calmer and gave us a glimpse of everyday Balinese life, while still keeping the things we needed for a holiday within reach. The room had a very comfortable bed and pillows, fridge, AC, mosquito killer, good Wi-Fi, and a private bathroom with towels and soap. There was also a small kitchen with two pans, a kettle, basic utensils, one gas burner, and a sink, which was just right for making breakfast. Housekeeping came frequently, almost every day, to make the bed and sweep. Nearby were local warungs, including my favorite, Lingga Sedana, literally next door, plus Minang Vegan and Warung Sate Madura "dua putri". We also found cheap laundry at $7k per kilo, Jaya Coffee Roasters, Coco Market about a ten minute walk away, and massage at Putu's. The family were very friendly, especially the lady who always greeted us with a big smile and “HELLOOO!” Ubud center was ten minutes by scooter. I don't drive, so I used Grab, about 15k each way or around US$1, and it worked perfectly. Drivers usually took us through the Monkey Forest, which was a lot of fun. Artawa can rent you a scooter if you drive.

The dorm was very clean, with a private little bathroom for your own toilet and shower. It's a nice place, though getting to town takes about 30 minutes on foot. You can borrow a motorbike. There isn't any Wi-Fi.

It's a nice place to stay, just quite a long way from town. There isn't Gojek in or around Ubud, so your choices are walking or taking the overpriced taxis. Apart from that, it's a good place :)
