Blu Mango

After a long ride on my motorcycle and my first experience of heavy traffic in Indonesia, this was just the place to relax. Blu Mango is tucked away in a corner of Ubud, very close to the Monkey Forest. The family running the guest house were super sweet, and as soon as I parked by the entrance, the house reminded me of a temple. There was a thermos in my room with local tea and coffee, which made me feel at home. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom nice, with a hot shower. From the balcony I could hear the stream and watch the rain. They gave me a town map with some important places marked, and later I walked to the Ubud market. Breakfast in the morning was nicely done too. They also have a cute cat who got so excited to see me and played around me. Wonderful stay.

We slept really well for three nights and had an awesome stay. It’s a local family business in a narrow alley amid Ubud’s crazy traffic, with a friendly owner and kids. The room was just the right size, not too big or small, and they provided clean towels. One small suggestion, the bathroom area could be cleaner.

I spent five nights here and got some wonderful rest. The location is near plenty of things, but tucked back in an alley where it stays quiet and peaceful. Kadek was so sweet, making me a delicious breakfast each morning and coming in to make my bed every day. My room was spacious and clean, with air conditioning and a fan. This was my favorite stay in Bali.

They arranged an early check-in for me, and my room was clean with a view of the forest. It’s a very quiet place, with only nature sounds, and they serve a nice little breakfast in the morning. The center of Ubud is a 15-20 minute walk away. For an auto taxi and similar rides, you may need to walk about three minutes to the main road.
