The small sign by the main road is easy to miss, so watch for it. The host also rents scooters, which is handy. The room had AC, very hot water, towels, toilet paper, and soap. Breakfast came with the room, which surprised me given how cheap it was, and it was delicious. You order the night before and have a few choices. I got fried rice and really enjoyed it.

Mama is such a sweet host. I've never met a better one, and she really looks after her guests and helps with everything. Her cat Gatto is adorable too.

The rooms are lovely and kept in great shape, and there's plenty to do nearby with restaurants and shops close by. Mama, who cooks at the inn and generally keeps an eye on things, welcomed us and made us feel at home right away. I'd definitely return to Bubu inn.

Mama made things so easy for my group and was welcoming as we arrived in Ubud. She was caring and professional, and really went above and beyond. The bathroom was the one downside, but honestly I'd overlook it and stay here again. I'd highly recommend the place to anyone traveling to Ubud.

Thanks, Mama! This was the best homestay in Ubud. For just $10 (Rp 150.000), we got a large room with a clean double bed, air conditioning, and a water heater, so the facilities were really good for the price. Breakfast cost only Rp 20.000 ($1.50) and had to be ordered the day before. That price was from May 2018. It's a bit far from the tourist spots, so I'd suggest having a bike while you're in Ubud.
