We stayed for over a month, and the slow, simple pace gradually became comfortable. It was peaceful and relaxing there. Hippies, oriental music events, and a great price eventually won us over, even with the dirty rooms and the staff’s nonchalant attitude. The internet was temperamental for a while in the first week, then improved. You can’t expect top hotel standards at such an affordable price. The central location is ideal for exploring all corners of Bali, and for the cost, it’s probably the best deal around.

A dump. In all my 15 years traveling full time, I’ve never seen a hotel this low value. There was mold, the toilet wouldn’t flush, and it was disgusting. No trash can, the AC didn’t work, and worst of all, the receptionist seemed to have psychological problems. When I complained, he ignored me, then at one point raised a scythe. Whenever I passed him, he gave me a hateful look. I should have listened to the earlier reviews. At 3 in the morning, I was with drunk people who were smoking, and I could smell it in my room. It was hard, but I had to check out the next day. I lost my money. Save your life and money, stay away from this place. Agoda did nothing, and they both made money from me. I checked out and never got my refund. Another guy left the same day, too. I don’t know where the 4 and 5 star reviews come from. As soon as you get to the address, it looks like you’re walking to a dump station. I left because I didn’t feel safe.

One of the worst places I’ve stayed. It seems like there’s no budget left to maintain it. The blankets were dirty and moldy, the Wi-Fi wasn’t working, and they didn’t fix it for days. There was always nobody at reception. Even when we asked for small things, nobody came later.

It was a disaster from the start. The room walls had holes and stains everywhere, and the moldy bathrooms smelled unbearable. The blankets were stained and disgusting, and the body towels looked as if they hadn’t been washed in weeks. Staff were rude and unprofessional instead of helpful. The doors wouldn’t even close properly, so we felt unsafe the entire time. This was the worst hotel I’ve stayed in, and I don’t know how it’s still open.
