Bulan Bali Guest House

A lovely host and clean, spacious rooms with nice decor. The balcony was beautiful too, with a big bench sofa that we really enjoyed. The homestay is close to Ubud's main strip, but tucked far enough away to stay peaceful and quiet. Yoga Barn is a three-minute walk away. The price was great for such a wonderful room. Six stars if I could!

We stayed at Bulan Bali Homestay for five days. The room was clean, service was great, and the shared kitchen came in handy since we left around 6 a.m. almost every day. The hostel is a little farther away. A temple just a minute from the place had celebrations all week. The road closures meant we had to take a long route back to the homestay. The shared kitchen and utensils were dirty, so we had to clean them before using them each time. Those issues aren't entirely in the hoteliers' control, so I'd still recommend the place.

Really cozy place, with clean rooms and friendly staff. It's very quiet at night, so I slept well, and it's conveniently right next to the yoga barn.

Our room was clean and fresh, with AC and a really comfortable bed. I slept great. Breakfast came with the low-priced double room and was delivered outside our door, where there was a nice little sitting area we loved eating in. The food was really good, and there were seven menus to choose from for the next morning. Try the banana pancakes or sweet black rice porridge, yum! The owner and staff were such sweethearts. I think the owner's older children sat at reception, and their English was so good for being that young. The location was perfect, near Monkey Forest and waterfalls, but very quiet at night. The huge showerhead was lovely, and there was warm water every day. You can rent a bike for 60k per day, and they have helmets too. Wi-Fi was good out on the terrace, but a little slow in our room, the one farthest from the router. It wasn't really an issue. Loved it, and this would be our first pick if we're back in Ubud.
