Resort Kaamala Resort & Spa Ubud by Ini Vie Hospitality

The staff made our three-night stay at Kaamala Resort especially memorable. Lia suggested a shopping area and brought us water while we waited for our car. Rita quickly took us to our room in a golf cart after check-in and showed us around. Wira drove us from the airport and waited more than an hour while we went through customs and collected our luggage. Everyone was responsive and helpful on WhatsApp. We also spotted monkeys outside our room throughout the stay, and enjoyed the food at both Habitat and Shichirin. The resort is centrally located for tourist spots like the monkey forest, shops and restaurants. I couldn’t recommend it more.

The main letdowns were breakfast and laundry. I found a caterpillar in my food at breakfast, which felt unacceptable for a five-star hotel. They apologized, said it wasn’t normal and promised to be more careful washing vegetables, but it was still disappointing. Laundry was also extremely overpriced because they charge by the item, much more than at other luxury hotels we’ve stayed in around the world. The resort was very clean and open, with a relaxing feel. Staff were kind and welcoming, always greeting us when they saw us. Monkeys were often around the lobby and walkways. None came into our room, but staff said it can happen, so keep an eye on your things and close the doors. Despite those two issues, we enjoyed our comfortable stay and would recommend the hotel overall, with those points in mind.

Waking up amid greenery and having slow mornings by our own pool was a highlight. We booked a suite with a private pool, and it was spacious, beautifully designed and worth it. With a kid, having a private, safe pool made family time and relaxing feel especially easy and special. The resort is lush and peaceful, away from busy Ubud but still conveniently located. Staff were warm, attentive and caring, with quick responses and thoughtful gestures that made us feel looked after. The place was clean, and the food and atmosphere were top notch. For a family wanting luxury, privacy and comfort in Ubud, it’s a fantastic choice. We’d absolutely come back.

We spent six great nights at kaamala resort. Everyone on staff was welcoming and friendly, and our clean room had a lovely view. We even saw monkeys on the balcony, which was a fun bonus. Breakfast was something we really enjoyed. There’s construction going on, but it didn’t keep us from having a wonderful stay. We highly recommend the resort!
