Jero di Bisma Hostel

This family-run hostel has a peaceful garden and kind hosts, with delicious breakfasts too. It’s close to lots of great restaurants but away from the chaos in central Ubud. The place was very clean and the air conditioning was good. They can also get you much better prices on tours and similar things. Mount batur, for example, cost me 350K, while others paid 400K.

I’ve been here a week and keep adding another day because it feels like home. It’s a small, quiet hostel, so it’s easy to enjoy a calm stay. The people are kind, everything’s clean and comfortable, and the free breakfast is delicious. It feels more like being in a warm local family home than a standard hostel. I stayed with Ayu and her family, and it felt very personal. There’s just one dorm with six beds, so the hostel has more of a bed-and-breakfast feel. It’s a welcoming, quiet place if you want a glimpse into Indonesian culture. I’d recommend it and hope I can come back one day! 🫶🏽

There’s a sweet little sitting spot where you can relax to the sounds of nature, and the place felt very safe. The breakfast was delicious, and both the beds and bathroom were clean. It’s in a quieter area on the edge of town, though still close enough to walk to attractions. The owners were helpful and gave great recommendations. Ayu was especially sweet and informative. WONDERFUL, I couldn’t recommend it more.
