The staff were kind and helpful, and the outdoor bathroom was a cool, unusual feature. But the water was very hard and the pressure weak. There are some charming aspects, but the negatives outweighed them for me. The place feels outdated and run down, as if it hasn't been maintained. The linen was dirty and had fleas, there was a bad smell, the Wi-Fi was terrible, and traffic noise was extremely loud. The mattress felt like sleeping on a pile of metal, and must be at least 11 years old. The old air conditioner kept the room cold, but had trouble responding to its remote. I’m sure it was lovely in its heyday, but now it feels like a relic that needs a full renovation. Its charm draws you in, then the stay disappoints. Your accommodation matters, and this could put a damper on a Bali trip. I don't think it's worth the experience. You can find somewhere better for less money.

I stayed here for months and was grateful for my space. It was probably the best room on the property, and since I hate moving, I made it work. The marketing photos must be from when the place was new, because nothing looks like that now. I bought custom curtains because the ones in my room were moldy, and I got my own sheets and blankets because the supplied ones looked stained and dirty. Ateng was my favorite employee. He cleaned the way I showed him and spoke the best English. The other staff used the same towel with Windex to clean bathrooms and shared areas in each room. Ateng was the best part of my experience and the glue holding the place together. He’s why I gave service a 2, otherwise it would have been 0. I appreciated that they tried to fix things when I asked, but most problems would need major renovations. When my belongings were damaged, they never asked if they could compensate me. The black mold was terrible, especially for a long stay. No matter how much I cleaned and bleached, it came back ten times worse. It ruined expensive bags and shoes that were too close to the wall. I also bought many things that were damaged by mold or because I didn't know the electrical requirements. Two hair clippers and my blow dryer burned out. Bugs kept appearing in the shower, and I had to bleach it before using it. Hot water lasted only 2-4 minutes, and even with a filter to reduce the hardness, the water pressure was never good. I moved to a brand-new villa. The manager, the owner's daughter who lives upstairs, was upset and tried to charge me extra for days I wasn't there, including a few days beyond my stay. She messaged me through social media, which felt really weird because we'd spoken frequently and never there before. I think she needs the money, but doesn't do what it takes to make this a healthy living space. Again, the black mold was awful, and I dealt with it as long as I could. Please don't message me on any platform anymore. I paid for the 2nd through the 5th, handed in my keys on the 6th, and paid in full, in fact I paid more. I hope you renovate and get what you want from the property. With love and respect.

The stay was terrible. The private pool changed the color of my pants, the toilet was very bad, and there were no room amenities. At night, the electricity went out and left the room completely dark. We spent quite a lot to stay here, and it wasn't worth it. The staff member was also very bad and couldn't handle us as guests.

A great place to stay in Ubud, near the old town without being right in the middle of it. That's handy as a base for other trips, since you can avoid Ubud traffic. The room has everything you need, with great views and fast Wi-Fi. The owners and staff are friendly, and I felt very welcome. In this price range, it's hard to find anything better.
