Uma Taman House

I had a wonderful stay here. It’s peaceful and relaxing, and the homestay is very comfortable and immaculately clean. My room was cozy, with free coffee and tea. The owner is a gem, super friendly and ready to help with anything I needed. It’s a quiet escape but still close to the heart of Ubud. Highly recommend for a warm and welcoming stay in Bali.

Ayu gave us such a warm welcome and was very friendly. The room was clean, and the owner quickly tidied my tea cup on the balcony. The market and temples are only a 5 to 10 minute walk away, and it’s a great location. We stayed three nights and loved the place. I’d be happy to stay here again on a future visit.

The location is great, only a five-minute walk to the lively streets, cafes, souvenir shops, and spas, while the place itself is really quiet. Some nights the garage opposite worked very late, though, unless you asked them to turn the volume down. The owner was nice but not flexible at all about checkout time 🥲 I stayed three nights in August. The owner has a cousin with a nice place to eat local food about two minutes away. There’s only a fan, no A/C. At 28 degrees it was okay, but I know I’d have appreciated air conditioning. Booking said breakfast was available, but it wasn’t; there are plenty of other options around.

We lived in Ubud for six months and went door to door looking at rooms and prices before choosing this place. For the low price compared with similar homestays, the quality is SO GOOD! Ayu, the owner, is the best part. She’s super nice and kind, and cleans the room every three days. It’s a decent size with a table, plus hot water and good pressure in the shower. They have 5g internet, which is a plus here. There’s a ceiling fan but no air con, and we didn’t find we needed it. If you’re looking in this price range, Uma Taman is probably the best you’ll get.
