Some small things could use attention: the late check-out rules felt a bit strict, and there was mold near the bathroom drain. Still, my wife and I had a wonderful two-night stay, and we were very happy overall. The staff were so friendly. Nopi’s bright smile made breakfast especially nice, and Ratna also deserves thanks for her significant contribution. The hotel is right in the center of Ubud, so everything was easy to reach. We also enjoyed high-quality massages, with an extra discount for hotel guests. Breakfast stood out compared with other places we’ve stayed around Bali. The healthy portions came with plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, including lots of avocado, and I especially liked the made-to-order fresh fruit juices with no sugar. Afternoon tea was a lovely extra, and lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant were just as good. We’d definitely recommend the place to anyone visiting Ubud.

Though it’s right in the heart of Ubud, the hotel stays calm, with no street noise disturbing us. We spent three nights at Adiwana and had a quiet, spacious room. The staff were genuinely kind and helpful. I’d recommend it if you want a central Ubud location and somewhere peaceful to stay.

The service was the best part of our stay. Staff were kind and accommodating every time we came or went, and throughout meals, tea time, and refreshments. They seemed to see each guest as an individual, which made things feel special. The location is great too: food, drinks, massages, shops, temples, and museums are all within walking distance. It works for families with younger kids, young adults looking for live music at a bar, history and culture fans, and shoppers. Really, it’s good for all. If we come to Ubud again, we’ll stay here.

The greenery and outdoor spaces are attractive, and the hotel is right in central Ubud, which makes it easy to explore on foot. But after that good first impression, the place felt rather generic. The room could have belonged to a similar hotel anywhere in the world, with its bathtub in the sleeping area, international contemporary décor, and carefully staged mood. I didn’t find much distinctly Balinese character or soul here. That’s not a question of comfort or quality. Other places in Ubud offer just as much, sometimes more, comfort while feeling authentic and distinctive. This hotel has clearly gone for a global design concept. A few practical issues stood out. Some rooms felt quite humid, and the air conditioning is directly above the bed, so it needs careful adjustment to avoid discomfort. Rooms near the lobby may get noise. On-site dining is limited, and breakfast was disappointing for a hotel in this category. There seemed to be enough choice on the menu, but the food was often lukewarm, not carefully presented, and underwhelming in flavor. On several mornings, we noticed neighboring tables leaving a lot uneaten, which may point to a broader issue with breakfast. The staff are young and pleasant, though at times the service felt mechanical instead of personal. This is a visually appealing, conveniently located hotel for travelers who value modern design. If you’re after a more Balinese feel and food that matches the hotel’s positioning, Ubud has more distinctive options.

The food was a real highlight at Adiwana Monkey Forest. I had breakfast, lunch, and dinner there, and their Nasi Goreng was spot on and delicious. The Balinese Massage is well worth trying if you want a full hour of relaxation. The property is gorgeous, surrounded by nature in Ubud’s monkey forest, and remarkably quiet, with the outside noise of Ubud kept out. My room was clean, spacious, and had all the amenities. My stay was impeccable. I highly recommend it, and I’ll come back next time I’m in Bali.
