Chandi Hotel Ubud

The birthday treat for my husband was such a sweet gesture. We had a really happy stay at Chandi Hotel Ubud, with a spacious, clean room, a balcony, and a distinctive style. The receptionist and guide were both very friendly. If you want a quiet spot in Ubud that’s still close to Ubud Art Market, this place worked well for us. Thanks, Chandi!

The garden and pool were lovely, and the staff were kind. We also liked the comfortable room and its pleasant look, plus being tucked away from Ubud’s busy roads. The shower and toilet area had an odd smell, though, and the Wi-Fi was very unreliable. I moved between two rooms and had the same problem in both. Mobile 4G inside the rooms was weak too, which made it more frustrating. Apart from that, my stay was pleasant.

The location suited us well, just a five-minute scooter ride from Ubud center. The rooms matched the photos and were clean, with spotless bedding. The staff were so warm and friendly, and I felt looked after throughout my stay. I’d pick this hotel again next time, highly recommend it.

We liked the clean hotel and its location, but the noise made our two nights miserable. Every footstep on the staircase came through so loudly it felt like the ceiling might give way. A large group was staying upstairs, constantly walking around and stomping. At 6 a.m. they were dragging suitcases, shouting, and laughing. We barely slept. The sound carried everywhere. We could hear nearby TVs through the night as well. We came to rest and ended up exhausted. Owners, please spend a night there yourselves and see what it’s like. Those stairs need attention.
