The pool was lovely, and I enjoyed the breeze and atmosphere up high. The location is wonderful too, near great coffee at ‘Pure’. Still, I left after one night because of a strong musty smell and visible mould. I'm allergic, so I couldn't put up with it. I'd seen reviews saying previous guests weren't offered another room or a refund, and I didn't want a conflict while on holiday, so I went to another hotel instead. In my twin room, the single bed had a deep dip from previous guests. I couldn't lie in the middle without rolling to one side, and woke up in pain instead of refreshed for my yoga holiday. My friends had a good stay and would return. They're less bothered by mould, and their beds were flat.

Right in the middle of Ubud, with a very cheap twin room, helpful staff, a pool, and a good range of breakfast options. Very handy location.

The room was good and had a balcony, but ours was on the second floor and the staircase didn't feel safe. It could be slippery after rain. The plug sockets weren't the usual type. There was no TV or intercom phone.

Dugal Hidden is a little paradise in the middle of the action in Ubud. The courtyard is quiet, with beautiful statues and shrines, and there's a clean pool, breakfast included until 11am, plus beer and water available until 11pm. The walkway back from the busy street is easy to miss, but it takes you away from all the noise. The owner or staff can arrange transport and tours when available. Highly recommend!

The room itself was wonderful, with the comfiest bed I've ever slept in, a fabulous view from the top floor, and delicious breakfast. Staff were super polite and friendly, and very helpful. Their English wasn't the best, but that wasn't a problem. They made the bed every day and left fresh bottles of water too. The part that didn't work for me was the family's little kids. They cried or made lots of noise from morning until late at night, sometimes not settling down until 11pm. It felt like a kindergarten, so I had to use the pool at the hotel next door to relax. The kids are cute, just not my scene. Also, every time I flushed the toilet, the floor in my room flooded.
