Green View Ubud Hostel Bali

A local first recommended this place, and I booked five nights because I was told it was in a quieter part of Ubud. After reading earlier reviews, I raised the mould concern with the owner because I’m asthmatic. He calmly explained that it was just after Covid and they hadn’t had the means to get rid of the mould, so the room had been very cheap then. He offered to return my deposit if I was still concerned. My room was clean and spacious, with a roomy bathroom, working air conditioning, and hot water. There was a slight damp smell, like in many budget Indonesian bathrooms, but it wasn’t offensive. I liked the quiet downstairs rooms, though anyone with weak legs might prefer one upstairs. Since the place is close to a river, there are some ants, and there are roosters too. The upside was no loud scooter noise. It’s at the end of the road, with very few eateries or massage places nearby, so there’s less human and traffic noise. Several streets with lots of restaurants and laundry services are one block away, and my favourite local yoga place is five minutes away. The owner and his sons were lovely and friendly, and worked hard to make me comfortable. Thank you for the warm hospitality!

If you want a quieter, more comfortable hostel, this is a good choice. The beds are big and sturdy, all wood, with no shaking or noise. The staff are really friendly and make a nice breakfast in the morning.

For $15, the three-bed room was a really good deal. It was clean, comfortable, and had good Wi-Fi, with no problems during our one night there. A nice place to stay in the city for a night.

We had a great stay, and the staff were so kind. The hostel is conveniently close to everything you need, and the location is perfect. Thanks for everything 🙏🏻, I’d recommend it.
