I liked it enough to book a second stay. The view out the window was great, there's a pool, and the staff were very nice and friendly. It's close to Ubud Art Market. Clean, comfy sheets made it easy to rest after a long trip. They'd forgotten to refill the soap and shampoo, but I had brought my own, so it was fine.

Greenery is everywhere here, with lush plants spilling over the walls and around the building. Hartaning House feels like its own little world, even though it's in the heart of Ubud and a 600m walk to Ubud Central and market. The staff are so friendly, they make you feel at home straight away. Thanks for the great hospitality and service, especially Gede and Ega!

We spent 3 days here and felt it was well worth it. The charming room had a wooden Bali style, and the kitchen was handy for storing food in the refrigerator and cooking. The hotel staff were amazing, checking in each day for our breakfast orders. We loved it here.

The mattress needs replacing. After two nights it left our backs hurting, and that's why I took off a star. The room was decent for the price, the internet worked well, and breakfast was good value, cheaper than buying it outside. The Hartaning house staff are super duper friendly, sometimes so much that we had to say no, it's ok. The shower pressure could be better.

The staff were delightful and very friendly, but the place was smaller than it looked in the pictures, and the bed was uncomfortable. The toilet wasn't attached to the floor, and with the shower directly over it, it was impossible to use. The power went out and the water disappeared too. For what we paid, I think we could have stayed somewhere nicer and closer to everything. With some improvements it might be worth the money, but I wouldn't stay again as it is.
