Hotel Tjampuhan Spa

The restaurant food was delicious every time, and the buffet breakfast had a great range. My partner and I also did the romantic Bridge dinner, which I’d recommend. The gardens are lovely, the spa is amazing, and the staff were so helpful. The bathrooms have been recently updated and look stunning. We loved the hotel and would definitely stay again. There was a slight damp smell from the air con, as can happen in older hotels in bali. It was pretty bad in our first room, but the staff quickly upgraded us. The new room was much better, though it still had a little of that smell.

A peaceful spot on the river at the edge of Ubud’s city center, with views out to nature. This is one of my favorite hotels in Ubud, a true Balinese-style place with spacious, well-maintained rooms and an amazing breakfast buffet. The spa is a must: cold plunge, warm bath, sauna, and steam room. Even if I’m only in Ubud for the day, I stop by and spend a few hours there. You won’t regret staying.

Being next to a temple and local bush gave the whole place a lovely smell of incense and nature. It’s also near Campuhan Ridge Walk and within walking distance of town. The hotel and room were beautiful, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. I enjoyed the spa and got a great massage. The included breakfast buffet and our lunch were delicious too.

I’ve returned to this spa hotel for a second time within a year. I’d stayed elsewhere in Ubud on another trip, but this time I wanted to come back because nothing compares. The jungle view, river, lakes, waterfalls, and green paths are spectacular, with plants kept beautifully. The resort feels special, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and look out over nature. It’s quiet and peaceful, and the rooms we stayed in were well isolated so we could properly rest both times. The price felt more than fair for the authentic experience and calm. You’re away from crowded central Ubud, but only about a 10-minute walk from it. The restaurant has a traditional design and food for all tastes. The people are extraordinary, professional and attentive, and they respond quickly and enthusiastically to requests. The manager has been here for 38 years. I really recommend coming here for an authentic vacation.
