The villa was clean and tidy, with complete kitchen equipment. I stayed one night in the private five-bedroom villa. Every room was spacious and had a bathtub. The water heater in one room didn't work very well, but we still enjoyed our stay. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the location was convenient to reach, and there was plenty of parking. Lovely service 🙏

We went back recently just to eat at the restaurant, and the food was amazing as always. During our stay at Kakul Villas last year, we loved the food and the whole setting. The garden and pool areas were stunning, and the traditional villas were beautiful, clean, and well kept. Everyone at the restaurant was friendly and lovely. Sutri, a young gentleman working there, was especially welcoming and helpful. He knew the surrounding area well and organized a truly beautiful Wedding Anniversary dinner for us. My husband and I had a magical stay, and we'll be back. A beautiful place, 10/10 ❤️!

We've been in Bali for three months, and this is the worst place we've had the misfortune to stay. We're leaving early because we've been miserable with the endless problems. It smells damp and musty, and the cleanliness and hygiene are extremely poor. Ants and cockroaches are infesting areas inside and outside the bedrooms. The rooms are dark and depressing, with dusty furniture that isn't cleaned properly. The picture frames, lamps, and bed frame were extremely dusty and gross. There's a chicken farm next door with a bad smell and constant repetitive noise. The accommodation photos are misleading, as the place looks completely different in person. The bathroom floods after showers because of the poor floor design and blocked drains. Hot water runs out after three minutes because the boiler is small. Breakfast was tasteless and poor quality, and the boiled eggs arrived with chicken poo still on their shells. The bedroom furniture stinks. The hob was dirty when we arrived, so we cleaned it ourselves. Then it fell through its opening because it wasn't fitted properly. They glued it in, and our room smelled of glue for the rest of the day. It's rated three stars, but doesn't deserve even one. It should be minus 10 or closed down by trading standards. Good luck if you plan to stay. There are plenty of places at the same price or less with much better quality and clean living conditions.

The location is good, and the place looks charming at first. But after staying six days, I noticed how run-down it is. The rooms are small, with only a tiny window that lets in very little light. Furniture is dated, towels are worn and yellowed, and the bathroom walls and ceiling are badly deteriorated. They clean daily, but it's superficial. For example, there was still hair in the bathroom sink. It's okay for a short stay if location matters more than comfort, but the hotel needs maintenance and renovation.

The location was the best part, and the price was low, about 450k IDR a night. We stayed in a room beside the main pool, but the bathroom smelled really bad. We asked to move and got another room, where the bedroom had a bad smell instead. Breakfast is included, though I'd keep expectations very low. I'd look around before booking, since Ubud has plenty of options. At best, this is a three-star hotel.
