The room was spacious, with a kitchen on the balcony and a fridge inside. The a/c and fan worked well, and the owner and family were very welcoming. Wi-Fi wasn’t great, though, and the shower had no hot water. It was okay for a short stay.

The room and surroundings were nice enough, and the people running the place were friendly. But my two-night stay ended on a bad note. Check-in was late, and the sheets had yellow marks and stains all over them, so I had to ask for the bedding to be changed, which they did. When I went to pay, I asked the owner about extending. She told me to pay for two nights and said we could sort out the rest later, then asked me to request a longer stay on booking.com. I did that straight away, but later I was told I had to check out the next morning. It was already late, and I hadn’t packed or found somewhere else to stay. They said it was my fault and not theirs. I wasn’t happy with how I was treated. Be wary.

I’ve stayed with this lovely family on and off over the last 2 years, for several months in total. It’s quiet and beautiful, facing the jungle, with nature sounds at bedtime. The room has a little kitchenette for making coffee or tea, plus a comfortable bed and hot shower, everything I needed. There’s also Balinese treatment in the same house, which I think is the best you can find in bali. I’ve lived here more that 3 years. Highly recommended!

Mr Manwarsa was so friendly and kind, and gave us a full refund, which I’m grateful for. My partner and I were due to check in today, but the room disappointed us. It’s a little dated and quite unclean in some areas, despite the beautiful view, balcony, and family. It’s in a family compound, and with a reasonable rate, I can imagine it being a good fit for a low-budget traveller.
