Taman Indah Homestay

The central location made it easy to reach restaurants, shops, and attractions, while the homestay itself still felt peaceful and relaxing. Everything was spotless, which made me comfortable from the start. The hosts welcomed me with so much warmth, especially Arini, who really went out of her way to make me feel at home. For genuine Balinese hospitality, a clean place, and a great location, I’d highly recommend it.

I only meant to stay a couple of days, but kept extending because I liked it so much. The area is peaceful and great for walking to lots of places, the room is very clean, and the beds are comfortable. There’s no air conditioning, but I got used to that. The price feels amazing for what you get. When I got really sick, the owner drove me to the clinic and waited while I was treated. She looked after me like family and helped with everything I needed. I highly recommend staying here.

I booked two nights at first to see whether the internet would work for my job, and ended up staying 23 days. The WiFi was fast and steady, the room was so clean, and the hot shower was very reliable. It’s close enough to walk into central Ubud but still peaceful, and I slept well every night unless the neighbors were noisy around midnight. Kopang was wonderful, quick to respond, and gave great service. She even shared stories about her family, and I supported her niece by getting my nails done. The color turned out so pretty! A comfortable, quiet stay with lovely hospitality.

During my nearly two months in Bali, this was easily the best place I stayed, and I can’t wait to come back. Taman Indah has a freshly renovated, beautiful room, but what made the eight days special was the local community, who made me feel like family and gave me a glimpse of Balinese life and culture. Kopang greeted me with a big smile and made sure I had everything I needed. She invited me and other guests to temple ceremonies and a traditional Balinese wedding, and provided ceremonial clothes for the events. She has been my best host, leads with her heart, and makes you feel part of the community. She can also arrange tours around Bali and teach you to make offerings for temple ceremonies. She’s basically superwoman. Thanks to Kopang and the Taman community for making the stay so special.
