Munari Resort and Spa Ubud

The rice field view at one end was lovely, the morning coffee was really good, and the staff were friendly. The vibe was relaxed too. The entrance is easy to miss, so look for the small road just after Circle K. There's construction next door, and it's noisy during the day. They burn materials as part of the work, so smoke comes into the room and makes the patio hard to enjoy. The construction workers live on site and were still playing loud music at 10:45 pm. Somehow both the noise and smoke get into the room, even with the air conditioning on, so sleeping was difficult. It's a shame, because the staff are lovely. I'd suggest coming back once the construction is finished.

It's close to the center, with a lovely road through rice fields and traditional villas nearby. The road was near, but we didn't hear traffic from it. The construction beside us was another story, though. They worked very loudly from 8 am to 10 pm, which was upsetting.

For guesthouse prices, this felt like hotel accommodation, and I'd be glad to come back. The rooms were clean, new, and spacious, with TVs offering Netflix and Prime. Staff were friendly, the air conditioning worked reliably, and breakfast, coffee, and water were available daily. It was also only about a seven-minute scooter ride to central Ubud, including Ubud Palace, while being a couple of minutes out in a quieter, more spacious area. The cost was very reasonable for this kind of place. WiFi was good near the router, but unreliable in my room. The cafe wasn't great for vegetarian food, though they did try to accommodate.

The people at Kanma were so kind and welcoming. I came down with a bad head cold during my stay, and they got me medicine and checked that I had everything I needed. The rooms felt spacious and homey, the balcony was a peaceful place to relax, and they cleaned thoroughly. Linens and towels were fresh. Thank you, Kanma!
