The Luxe Ubud, A Boutique Hotel

Dewa Cup was such a nice driver and took great care of my parents, who are over 70, helping them get in and out of the car every time. I used the car service for airport pickup, a day tour and a drive to Jumeirah resort after checkout. Whenever I mentioned wanting mangosteen or jambu, cash from a particular ATM, or a sudden shopping trip, he did his best to help as soon as possible. The Grill is also a nice place for steak. I chose to stay here on a friend's recommendation, and both room service and car service were good.

Breakfast is one of the best parts of coming back to The Luxe Ubud. We always go for the dragonfruit smoothie bowl, then the legendary breakfast and steak benedict. Looking out at the rice fields, you might spot Bali ducks or herons. This time Nyoman led a complimentary walk through the fields, which was a lovely addition. The team makes the place feel like home, from the front desk and housekeeping to the kitchen crew at The Grill. As they say, “Welcome Home.” We’re always glad to return and grateful to Nyoman and everyone there.

The villa was huge, comfortable, and very clean, with a pretty view over the rice fields. It’s peaceful here, away from busy Ubud Center, and the staff greet you whenever you leave or come back, asking about your day and treating you warmly. They work hard to make guests feel cared for. We enjoyed walking to Ubud Center each day, though staff can also take you there on scooters. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented, but more than we could eat. The villas and food are lovely, and the staff make the stay. I’d happily return and recommend it. I’d give this five stars, or six if I could. Please don’t let that one-star payment mix-up review distract from the broader experience.

The scooter service runs around the clock, which matters since you can’t reach the villas by car. They were prompt and always available. Anyone with mobility limitations may find access difficult. We stayed six nights, and the clean, luxurious rooms and gracious, accommodating staff made for probably the best hotel service I’ve had.
