I liked this place a lot. It’s small, which makes it easier to chat and get to know the other travelers staying there. The owner was really friendly, and although I booked a bed in an eight-person room, he put me in a four-person room instead. It’s cool enough that air conditioning wasn’t a problem. The one drawback was the lack of hot water in the shower. Too bad I didn’t get to try the breakfast.

Avoid booking this hostel. There was a serious bed bug infestation in at least two rooms, 2 and 6, and the staff knew about it but didn’t seem to care. Now we have to spend the last two days of our trip without our clothes while everything gets washed.

I booked a private room for some peace, but left in the middle of the evening after getting my money back. I had to let another guest stay in my room at 3 am because someone in the dorm kept making inappropriate advances and she was scared. She told the owner the next day. He moved her to another bedroom because the man was meant to stay just one more night, but still let him remain in a mixed dorm. The following day, two more women had the same problem. The owner knew, and even after being told he was losing customers and putting guests, as well as his wife and daughter who spend all day around the hostel, at risk, the man was allowed to extend his stay in the mixed dorm. The owner told me himself he’d take action. Later that evening I saw him relaxing and laughing with the man. That’s a complete shame. The owner has shown no honor, logic, or common sense, and couldn’t prevent an event that could threaten women’s safety, so I don’t think he can guarantee guests’ security even when he has the power and tools to do so. I packed up, told him what I thought about the situation, got my refund, and left.

It’s quiet and clean, with all the amenities, though nothing fancy. The hostel is small, which I liked, and it’s a nice spot to hang around. The pool is very, very small. It’s cheap and pretty close to the city center.

The owner was friendly and the location was good, but the hostel itself was a really poor experience. It was gross, smelly, and hot. I’d booked a week, but changed plans as soon as I saw it and found somewhere else. It’s very cheap, sure, but I’d pay a little more to stay somewhere that isn’t repulsive.
