This traditional homestay sits in the heart of ubud, within walking distance of plenty of restaurants and shops. The garden is beautifully done, full of plants and birdsong. It’s on a one-way street, and you have to walk a little along a narrow path to reach this tucked-away spot. Even so, it stays quiet and you don’t feel the market congestion, while still being close to the busy area.

Right in central Ubud, but peaceful and quiet, with a lovely little pool. I enjoyed it so much that I’ll be back in June 2026!

The grounds and buildings are stunning, and this place feels like a hidden oasis. It’s quiet inside, away from the street bustle, and the pool is lovely for cooling off on a hot day. Staff are friendly too. The rooms are basic and the linen could be updated, but it’s cheap. The location’s fabulous, with restaurants, shops, ATMs, a pharmacy, and spas all within a five-minute walk with kids. Monkey forest is a ten-minute walk, and Ubud Palace, with many of the markets, is about 30 minutes on foot.

A great little spot tucked back from the road, so it doesn’t feel like you’re as close to central Ubud as you are. The staff are wonderful and helpful, the beds are comfortable, and the air-con works perfectly. They bring breakfast to your terrace each morning, too.

The staff were on another level, always smiling and ready to help us feel at home. We ran into some travel problems and they gave us the best help they could. The location’s great too, one minute from the monkey forest and 15 from the palaces and market. Breakfast was delicious, the rooms were very nice, and the pool was perfect for relaxing. The value for money was brilliant. 10/10, hard to pick one thing above the rest. We absolutely recommend it.
