The room was spacious, very clean, and had aircon. Breakfast was delicious, especially the banana pancakes with bali kopi, and it’s great value for money. The hosts are kind and friendly. There are two ways into the homestay. We accidentally took the longer, busier route. For a quicker, quieter entrance, go to the right of the Indian restaurant, where there’s a little Nirwa sign. I’d recommend the Indian restaurant too! 10/10

That green pineapple pancake was amazing, and the staff were super friendly and full of good tips. Nirwa Ubud Homestay is a beautiful place in a perfect location. I loved my stay and will definitely come back on my next trip!

There are strange paintings all over the room’s walls, and with no windows at all it felt gloomy and oppressive. Closing the door seemed to cut off both Wi-Fi and mobile data, almost as if there were a magnetic field. We had four phones, and none could connect. We couldn’t reach the staff by WhatsApp or phone, no one dealt with the problem, and nobody contacted us. The hotel is about a kilometer from the main road, down a narrow, extremely poor road. I’ve cycled over 1,000 kilometers in Bali and still had to concentrate hard to get through this section. Since there was no internet in the room, we didn’t stay overnight, but the owner still hasn’t refunded the room fee. The accommodation and service are completely unacceptable.

We enjoyed the lovely view and the feeling of being surrounded by nature. The place is great, and the host is very kind. It’s quite a long walk to the main road.

Getting here takes a long route, and the path is winding and definitely not easy. I actually had a lot of fun with it and enjoyed my stay, including the long walk out to get food for each meal.
