We left just 30 minutes into what was meant to be a three-day stay. The room was extremely dirty, with stained sheets, an unclean bathroom, lots of ants and only half a roll of toilet paper. There was broken glass on the dresser, and the window wouldn’t shut fully, so we didn’t feel our belongings were secure. We tried to find staff to report the problems and ask for another room, but no one was available anywhere on the property, leaving us no choice but to go. The host’s response afterward made things worse. They dismissed us, blamed us and said we were “complaining too much,” then made inappropriate remarks that we expected a “five-star hotel” because of the price. We’ve stayed in several Bali accommodations at a similar price and had much better experiences. The issue wasn’t the cost, but the lack of basic cleanliness and the host’s unprofessional, hostile attitude. A partial refund was eventually mentioned, but we were told to come back in person to collect it. Given the aggressive, hostile replies, we didn’t feel safe returning. That added to an already very unpleasant experience. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The service is great and the rooms are clean, especially for the price. The hotel backs onto town but stays quiet at night. Parking is tricky, and it’s only suitable for a scooty.

The location was the only good thing. I tried taking two showers, but there was no water. The room smelled bad and the sheets felt grimy. I’d pay a few extra dollars to stay somewhere nicer. I won’t be back.

The staff are really nice, the WiFi works well and the fan does too. Breakfast is included, so it’s good value. The location is great and it’s very quiet at night, though there’s some construction noise during the day. The toilet needs a deep clean.

The receptionist was friendly and helpful, and the location is handy for sightseeing at a reasonable price. The place was clean and bug-free, though it felt more like a guesthouse than a hotel. There is Wi-Fi, but I couldn’t get it to work during my stay. I booked expecting the second-floor terrace room shown in the booking site photos, with a view of Ubud’s townscape, but was given a ground-floor room instead. It’s better to think of this as renting a private room in someone’s home than to expect professional hotel service. I wouldn’t recommend it to Japanese travelers who aren’t used to going abroad, you’ll probably be shocked lol. Go with low expectations and you might find it charming in its own way.
