Prabhu Ubud Villa

My first trip alone left me unsure what to expect, but right from arrival the team made me feel welcomed, listened to, and cared for. I felt safe and comfortable throughout. Their service was thoughtful and warm, and staff seemed to anticipate what guests might need. Nothing was treated as too much trouble. I’ve traveled widely and this was the best accommodation I’ve stayed in. There were so many small gestures that made it memorable. Once, rain started while I was on the terrace, and someone brought me an umbrella before I had a chance to get wet walking back to my room. Breakfast arrived at the time I chose, making mornings feel calm and personal. I also recommend the massages, which were deeply relaxing. This stay made my first solo journey feel supported and special. I’ll absolutely come back, and I’m grateful to everyone on the team for an experience I won’t forget.

We stayed over New Year’s, and the price was great for the location. The room was spacious, with a clean outdoor bathroom, and there’s free car parking. My son was thrilled that the TV had Netflix, haha. Gung Gus replied quickly and was very responsive while we booked and asked about the room. I’d definitely come back. Suksema Gung Gus.

The constant pigeon noise drove me to check out after one night, even though I travel often and have never had a worse hotel experience. There were many pigeons on the roof, cooing from 6 am to 6 pm. The repetitive sound echoed through the room and felt like it was inside my head. It was torture. I politely asked if I could leave early and receive even a partial refund because I was genuinely suffering. The hotel refused, saying it wasn’t responsible for “natural noise.” I don’t consider pigeons on the roof to be nature, it seems like a maintenance issue. I can’t understand why they would choose to keep a guest who was suffering. It felt like bad hospitality and poor human relations. I left after one night without a refund because I felt I was losing my mind. There was no hot water in the shower, either. The hotel was empty, I suppose naturally. Later I contacted Agoda again, and the property first agreed to refund me, then changed its mind and declined. Unbelievable. Sad people, sad story.

Prabhu Ubud is clean and quiet, with the kindest staff. It’s easy to get into Ubud centre by Grab, taxi or scooter, and the place has a real wow factor. A must when you’re staying in Ubud! They also take care to keep the atmosphere peaceful. Every morning they put out small Hindu offerings with beautifully scented incense, like you see all over Bali.
