I stayed here for about three months in 2018-2019, after finding it by chance. From the street you climb the steps, pass through the owners' area, and then suddenly you're in an oasis, with a clean, cool infinity pool looking out over lush tropical greenery. I had no complaints then, and I still have none now. When I needed to return to Ubud in February 2026, I contacted the owner of Sambahan Inn and stayed for a few days. It was wonderful to come back and see what's changed: more rooms and new buildings, a spacious kitchen, and even more greenery. It feels even more like a little paradise, tucked away from the noisy street. It's always quiet and peaceful, and the hosts offer breakfast every day. The new kitchen makes a longer stay more comfortable, especially if you like preparing familiar home-style meals. I wholeheartedly recommend the place. On my next Ubud visit, I won't look elsewhere. Dear hosts, I wish your family continued growth, prosperity, and success!

I left a few hours after checking in and didn't stay overnight. The people were really nice, but the room smelled of mold, and part of the property was under construction. It felt like being on a building site. The place was empty, almost like a ghost town. I don't understand the high ratings here or on Booking.com.

Right in the center of ubud, yet still quiet. The room was nice, though the bathroom was just okay. There's a small, sweet pool surrounded by lots of greenery, and the host is super friendly. I'd love to come back someday.

SAMBAHAN INN is a peaceful little B&B in Ubud, away from the traffic and noise. It's run by a lovely family, and the place feels safe, secure, and tranquil. It has what you need: a good location, facilities, a garden, a pool, and even a garage. Prices are reasonable for the value. The communal kitchen is one of my favorite things, even though I've only used it to boil eggs. You can cook your own food if you want, and the kitchen shows how much thought and care has gone into the place. Ketut and Wayan are your hosts. Look them up and talk to them directly if you're thinking of staying. They'll tell you what you need to know. Mention the phrase “best kept secret” and you'll get a special treat.

Friendly, helpful staff and very clean, pleasant rooms. The location is excellent, and the pool has a jungle backdrop. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Ubud.
