The Purist Villas & Spa

The hotel sits right beside the jungle, and the property is stunning. It felt peaceful and connected to nature 🌿🐞. There were a few insects in the room, but that’s expected when you’re surrounded by nature, haha. The service was the best part for me. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, remembered little details, and made a real effort to connect with me, not just serve me. They handled every request with care and made the stay feel special.

We stayed four days and three nights last week and had two different villas because of a minor issue in the first one. We were very happy with both. The second villa had the biggest pool in the complex, lots of space, and a separate building beside the pool with an open-plan lounge facing our own pool. It was so quiet and relaxing that even moving villas didn’t spoil the stay. The staff were friendly and helpful the whole time. Thank you so much.

The setting is so peaceful, and the staff are welcoming and helpful. The masseuse was skilled, too. I came back to the Purist Spa after more than ten years for a Hot Stone Massage, and I’m glad I did. It was just as relaxing as I remembered, still my favorite hot stone massage ever. I hope I can come more often.

The staff really made our stay memorable. Everyone was kind and looked after us so well, including when we had requests. Our room was clean and well cared for, and the location off a small street made it easy to reach Central Ubud Market and other places. Getting a Grab was easy, too. The pool beside the restaurant is lovely, with greenery all around, and the food was excellent. Just keep in mind the menu only has vegetarian and seafood choices. It would be good to have more options for people with seafood allergies. We didn’t use the spa, but there are lots of treatments, and from the rest of our experience I expect they’re good quality. A great stay, and I’d recommend it to anyone coming to Ubud.
